The Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2 is a 3-axis handheld motorised gimbal designed to stabilise video and stills on DSLR, mirrorless cameras and camcorders. The Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2 free's users from lugging heavy video tripods and shooting from stationary positions, the Zhiyun Crane 2 is compact, smart and intuitive enabling you to shoot creative video with less restrictions.
The Crane 2, not to be confused with the previous generation Crane V2, takes everything that was great from the original Zhiyun Tech Crane and made it better. Now featuring a max payload of 3.2kg, the Crane 2 is able to support large professional DSLR's, camcorders, and mirrorless cameras; even kits with long telephoto lenses. Another great feature is the ability to manually focus and control, aperture, ISO and exposure compensation settings straight from the Crane 2 handle itself (Exposure control available on popular Canon, Sony, Nikon, and Panasonic cameras. Manual focus only available on popular Canon cameras).
Other great features include: Four shooting modes, 360° rotation along pan & roll axes, -135° and +185 tilt, 4-way stepless joystick control, OLED display, control dial, camera exposure control and up to 18 hours of battery life.
The ZhiyunTech Crane 2 gimbal supports a heavy payload of up to 3.2kg of camera gear; this means that the Crane 2 can stabilise DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, and camcorders; even kits with telephoto lenses. The kit also includes an attachable lens support for long lenses
A nifty OLED display on the Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2 handle shows the current connection status, camera/crane battery level, control mode, camera exposure settings, and makes navigating the Crane 2 menu a breeze.
The Zhiyun Tech Crane 2 gimbal is able to control all popular Canon, Nikon, Sony and Panasonic camera's (Connection cables included) exposure settings straight from the handle by using the control dial and menu on the OLED display. Settings include aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation
The Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2 gimbal offers 360° rotation across pan and roll axes, -135/+185 tilt; and offers button-powered, continuous rotation along the pan axis, with circular rotation along the tilt and roll axes. If you need to control the force/speed of the motors, simply navigate to "motor" using the menu and choose from either a low, medium, or high setting
Four different shooting modes allow you to get creative with the Crane 2 gimbal. The modes allow you to: lock the pan and tilt, pan left and right only, pan and tilt the camera freely, and shoot inverted footage even when the gimbal is tilted upside-down.
Cameras are attached by securing a simple thumbscrew without any tools, and full setup can be achieved within a few minutes.
A 3/8" thread and included 1/4" adapter threaded mounting hole on the bottom allows users to mount the Crane 2 Gimbal on monopods, tripods, and various other support equipment. A mini aluminium alloy tripod is included.
The Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2 can be controlled wirelessly from an iOS/Android app (available from Zhiyun-Tech) via Bluetooth.
The Zhiyun-Tech Crane 2 gimbal runs on two runs on and comes with three 18650 batteries, which feature a 12-18 hour runtime.
The Crane 2 uses a durable Manfrotto-standard quick release plate, enabling fast adjustment of balance and quick transfers between video tripods and the Crane 2.
