This compact and lightweight Fujifilm EF-X20 shoe mount flash operates at a distance of 20 meters away. Unique iFlash technology automatically optimizes the amount of light needed in a variety of shooting conditions. The ergonomic design gives you responsive dial control for changing settings, while you can operate a built-in wide diffuser via a lever on the side of the flash. The Slave Mode enables you to activate the flash when another flash is fired, giving your photos precedence. Additional features include flash compensation in the TTL Auto mode for advanced light detection and visual settings confirmation, even when camera is off.

The Fujifilm EF-X20 is a quality piece of kit that features what Fuji calls its “unique flash control technology, i Flash”, which the manufacturer says “can automatically optimize the amount of light suitable to every shooting condition.”

Fuji also points out  that the EF-X20 is “crafted from premium metal materials to compliment the design of the X-Series cameras.”Featuring a guide number of 20, the EF-X20 enables flash compensation from -1EV to +1EV in increments of 1/3 stops in the TTL Auto mode, and flash output levels of 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and 1/64 in the Manual mode.

If you’re used to large, SLR sized flashguns, such as the Nikon SB900, the EF-X20 will seem incredibly small.It easily fits into the palm of your hand and the actual flash panel covers a very small area, although it does have a built-in diffuser.
